Sales and Business Development Manager ‐ 10/01/17

Heurtey Petrochem is an international Oil and Gas Engineering Group with a turnover of 320 M € in 2016. We design, build and integrate process furnaces used in the refining, petrochemical and hydrogen industry.
We support our development with a large network of foreign subsidiaries (Dubai, Korea, USA, India, Malaysia, Romania, Russia) and have close to 1,000 employees.
To support our continuous business development we are looking for a Sales and Business Development Manager (M/F).
You report to the Sales and Business Development Director of the French subsidiary in charge with the European, African and Central Asia area. As a main mission you have to conquer new contracts in your commercial area. As such you will have to develop and manage the relationship with clients in your area and to carry out the commercial negotiations with the support of various services (Proposals, Legal, Engineering, Purchasing ...) in charge of establishing answers to tenders.
As such you will have to:

  • Establish high-level relationships with key accounts, in particular EPC, refiners and petrochemical operators of the area, in order to position Heurtey at the heart of our clients' decision-making processes.
  • Prospect all the clients of the area in order to promote our know-how in particular for the supply of new furnaces, process studies, spare parts and revamping as part of programmed shut-downs.
  • Identify clients’ needs and / or investment programs, track development opportunities in the area and benchmark other competitors.
  • Define tender/proposal strategies by supporting the preparation of proposals with the concerned services (estimates, execution plans), in particular by identifying and setting up the necessary alliances (subcontractors, consortium partners) to provide Client with an implementation plan that meets the needs of the project.
  • Pilot client negotiations as part of your order-taking objectives.
  • Select and manage the network of agents and sales representatives of the area under your responsibility.
  • Develop a network of relationships and information sources with strategic suppliers and subcontractors in order to place Heurtey at the heart of the market 'ecosystem'.
  • Organize and attend trade shows to represent the company.

You have a technical background with an experience of 10 to 15 years in a technico-commercial job with a strong sense of customer relations, for example in the field of engineering of turnkey projects. You have experience of international projects and have a relational ease allowing you to work with multicultural teams. You are fluent in both oral and written English and French.
You are open minded, proactive, autonomous and mobile for this job which requires 50% of professional trips. With good analytical skills, you are able to convince and have a spirit of conquest, while having an ability to evolve in a technical environment.
