Technologies
Thanks to its own patents and design tools, and to excellent relationships with reputable licensors, Heurtey Petrochem can cover the full range of furnace technologies for refineries and petrochemical complexes worldwide.
The Group is very active in Research and Development, a field in which it cooperates closely with IFP Energies Nouvelles. Key areas for cooperation include:
- Optimization of furnaces for new and existing processes,
- Furnace modification for oxycombustion with a view to carbon capture,
- Hydrogen production.
Engineering and project management
Heurtey Petrochem has the full range of process engineering, mechanical design, detailed engineering, procurement management, fabrication and construction-supervision resources required for conducting projects.
Basic project engineering is performed mainly at the Group head office in France, or in the United States. The detailed engineering, procurement and construction phases of project implementation are optimized thanks to the expertise available in the relevant subsidiaries.
Fabrication and modularization
In Romania, Heurtey Petrochem has its own manufacturing workshop (Beta Heurtey). With a monthly production capacity of 250 tons, Beta Heurtey enables the Group to control each step in the furnace-fabrication process in terms of quality, costs and deadlines.
Its extensive network of partners and its Petro-Chem Zamil joint venture in Saudi Arabia also enable the Group to offer a wide range of fabrication solutions worldwide.

Service provision
Heurtey Petrochem offers customers a range of services, including furnace-performance optimization studies, revamping studies, inspection/diagnosis of existing facilities and supply of spare parts.
